What was the issue with the gearbox?
Oil leaking?, noisy bearings etc? or other?

I was going to PM you about your offer to produce me an Excel spreadsheet to log all 4.4tdV8 faults on, but you must be a very busy man spending so much time traveling?
I have logged as many faults reports from member reports as possible on my paper draft so will keep doing it that way for now.

I'm approaching 187,000 and have just had to replace the chain guides (not vanos) and alternator and fuel pump. Had it for 7 years with no major probs except water pump x2

Mines just about to have its EGR's replaced at 112,300 miles. I was going to blank them but i was told not to do that for over heating concerns.

Timing chain guides and chain, couple of water pumps rads - 145k of that on lpg. It's done me well
