Not without knowing exactly what is expected at each pin - and that may mean that you won't see DC voltages (that you can measure with a multimeter) at all pins.

It is a little more complex than you seem to think. I'm not trying to be negative but I probably wouldn't know where to start even if it was my own car.

If you are losing colours on the screen, losing sound, switching off, etc., that doesn't point to an amp fault. I'd initially look for a connection fault inside the head unit.

I'll be heading off to bed shortly (it's 10.40pm) so probably won't see your reply until tomorrow morning. Ron B. VK2OTC

every days a school day pal and if you don't ask you wont learn anything ! I does turn itself off at times but the main thing is the sub woofer doesn't work so the sound is tinny as heck and when I start the car I get a loud pop through the speakers before the radio comes on

Not sure what system you have but if it is HK Logic 7 you should check that it has been enabled. You do it through the set up screen. It is just a question of selecting it.

If it is the system you have, the standard audio is a bit tinny but the Logic 7 is very much better. John
