Update.

With the rangie up in the air I checked the oil level in the gearbox, happy with the level.
Unplugged the electrical sleeve and checked for contamination of oil and dirt and spilt wires.. nothing concerning.
Lubricated the selector as Phil described above regardless however the selector appeared not to be sticking.
I used a Lynx diagnostic machine to calibrate the steering .

Since doing the above I've covered about 200 mile and had no transmission program kick in.

Not saying it's fixed or was any of the above however I'm waiting for rain , maybe it's water??

Time will tell. I will return.

Took the rangie to valve bodies UK, wirral, Merseyside as recommended from others on here. Booked the car into Robbs garage (next door and brother to pete ,owner of valve bodies uk) .
They spent some short time diagnosing my Rangie gearbox and quickly concluded my mechatronic was duff and need to be removed and sent away for repair.
Whilst the rangie was in Robbs garage i asked pete to overhaul the valve body. Five days later , i received a call to say the car was ready for collection .

Drives superb on my way back home , great service and highly recommended. GOODBYE p0705 code.. i hope.

Thanks also to all that helped from all on here l, great online community.
