what should be under the boot floor ?

I feel I can hear the compressor on my car a little too much , im putting this down to having no parcel shelf and the fact the sub isn't working so no noise from that to drown it out either but I was wondering if there should be some noise deadening material in there aswell ?? I have a full size spare alloy in there already

If your noticing it more often then maybe check your bags. That's the only reason unnoticed mines was leaking.

Compressor could be old and extra noisy..the compressor has an insulated lid and the fixings have rubber attachments which help with vibration.i can faintly hear mine without any parcel shelf..

In the six years I've had the car I can honestly say I have never heard the compressor running at all, even with the radio off.
Pardon, what was that you said?
