1. Tyres are black.
2. Tyres are round.
3. There are 4 tyres + one in the boot.
4. Rover Range is spelt correctly.

An afternoon stoving every nook and cranny of the interior and things are looking up!

All that was needed was a vacuum cleaner, two packets of Huggies baby wipes, a bowl of wam water, a microfibres cloth and Autoglym interior car shampoo... And a few hours of my life that ain't coming back!

The interior now feels and smells crisp and clean and looks as good as new. Someone is very pleased with the results and I don't mean me!

And next week, it might even get driven Laughing

Ha yes but it will rain and you will get your feet mucky so both interior and exterior will need redoing Shocked Shocked
But worth it looks great enjoy

Cracked windscreen!

Convinced it wasn't present on the test drive two weeks before collection and only noticed it when sitting in the car being given the handover, after paying for it last thing on a Friday evening (after using a one way ticket to the dealership, far far from home).

Then admitted they did know about the damage and claimed it had been repaired before they took possession of the car and that it would not be an MOT fail.

Photographed the damage in situ and said would make enquiries as to whether the repaired damage is within acceptable limits.

Now confirmed that it's in Zone A (area within the wid of the steering wheel) and is 1cm diameter or greater. Multi direction crack... Mad

Black, definitely black!

Silver provides great highlights on a black car, but they need to be kept to a minimum. Different shades of silver will definitely detract.

Wee update...

Shod with two new 22" Conti LX Sport tyres, the first long trip has completed. Drives well.

Ride surprisingly good on 22" rims.

3.0 diesel plenty refined and powerful enough.

Boot isn't as big as the L322. Rear passengers comment that the rear seating space is fine though not as spacious as the L322.

Winged head rests feel nice. Height setting is manually operated (L322 headrest height was electric operation). Mrs pld does not like the winged headrests.

Cobweb/ bramble type scratches showing through on panels after one careful wash. Selling dealer did a poor job, if indeed they even attempted to remove these marks (they said they would in the contract of sale).

Bought Meguiars X2.0 Scratch Remover, Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish. Did a front wing with the compound and polish this morning (hand application). Easy to use. Early signs after minimum effort are impressive. Scratches almost gone and the panel has a very deep gloss shine to it. To be continued...

New LR windscreen due to be fitted later this week.

Whilst liking the car, Mrs pld remains unconvinced at the difference in price between this and the L405.

Thumbs Up

You've twisted my arm Alan Laughing

Don't know why people seem to dislike the infotainment or whatever it's all called. It all seems easy to work, slick and quite good (to a simple soul like me).

Thumbs Up
