Air Suspension Inactive?

Guys

If the message "Air Suspension Inactive" is displayed on the dash is it safe to drive the car to a place to have it repaired?
As I understand things the car will remain at drive height until the problem is rectified?

Jim

Wouldn't recommend long distances as I'm guessing you don't know what the fault is, but to drive to have it looked at / repaired will be fine.

Could be anything from a faulty height sensor, which obviously no harm will be caused to a leaking air bag, in which case the compressor will be constantly working to keep it at height and wear the compressor quicker

Is the height adjustment panel on the dash still lit, with the hold button lit or have they all gone out?

As you and Stacker say Jim, it all depends on the state of the suspension.

If you get ASU bong and ride height stays where it is, you should be good to go
(if away from home and you get ASU, and you have an IIDTool or similar, read the faults but do not reset/clear, as you may well find yourself on the bump stops, with a long way to get home!)

If you get ASU bong and you are on the bump stops, take it easy, short trips, slowly, avoiding bumps and potholes. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
