Hi all

I've recently bought a 2008 Range Rover TDV8 and absolutely love it so thought best best to join a forum like this to help improve my knowledge - and hopefully at some point be able to help others too! I've had a niggle though with a squealing noise coming from the drivers side of the car. I noticed it on a long drive back from Cornwall yesterday and hadnt noticed it in the 3 weeks I've owned the car before that. It seems to go away when I turn the steering wheel left slightly (changing lanes on the motorway) but with a slight right turn it's back again. Its not constant though and does seem to come and go. Oh I've also had this at really low (car park) speeds too.

Maybe failing belt tensioner. Not expensive. How many km? ______________________________

May be a daft question, but I assume that's the drive belt tensioner you mean?

Great thanks. I need to take it to the garage so will ask them to start there. I had noticed a bit of a vibration (only a slight one) at idle so I guess that could be related. Didn't know whether I was just being paranoid. Thanks again!
