United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black
[For Sale] Range Rover Vogue SE - with issues!!

Range Rover Vogue SE 2006 (2007MY)

This car has issues, if you want a challenge read on, if not suggest you go on to the next Ad.

Full details of this car can be found in the For Sale section dated 27/10/16.

The car sold in early December for £12,500. I thought I would take it for one last run, 30 miles in and Boomff, cloud of steam, called AA who diagnosed water pump or hose, home it came on a low loader and stayed there until May this year.

In May I had cooled down enough after its last performance and sent it off to a Independent Land Rover Specialist to sort out.

They fixed the coolant loss, it was a lower hose, also unseized gear linkage, and recalibrated gearbox, sorted some electric issue with electric steps and suspension and replaced a worn AUX belt tensioner, mostly issues as a result of sitting for so long.

On a roadtest they found that the turbo's were faulting and it was traced to seized control arms, these were lubricated and retested with fault cleared. I was advised that the more its run the better.

Unfortunately, it wasn't used, now about a minute after starting - boing boing "Engine System Fault", it does not go into limp mode and stays running. Do I know what's wrong - No, Do I care anymore -No!!

Today to cap it all I reset the entertainment by removing the 15amp fuse, put it back and everything worked fine, thought I would change fuse for a new one, went to put it back in and the bit it plugs into has come away at the back of the fuse board Big Cry Big Cry

So that's it, if anyone wants this vindictive beast for £7999, have it or it goes back to sitting there unused.

UPDATE: Just checked and fuse board is fine, looks like I tried to put fuse back into a spare slot, HOWEVER, putting it back into right hole it still didn't work. Do I Know why - No Mr. Green

Could be a bargain for someone that can sort out or knows a man/woman who can

If its not broke now it soon will !!!

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Just an idea, but looking at your turbo hoses the left one looks new (white letters) and the right one which is the one which normally goes has faded letters...... so looks old. Could be the cause of your engine system fault if it has a hole in it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
