This Service Action supersedes Q492 with immediate effect. This Service action is being re-issued with a change to the workshop procedure in steps 2.

This Service Action is valid for two years only. Repairs must be complete and Warranty claims accepted for payment prior to the expiry date at the top of this Service Action.

The user would become aware that the deployable towbar would be either excessively noisy on deployment/stowage or may jam in any position between, and including, deployed and stowed. This affects a number of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles fitted with the deployable towbar.

Vehicles affected which had the module fitted as factory fit will show as open on Direct Dealer Warranty

Action to be taken:

Unsold vehicles must be repaired prior to hand-over of the vehicle for retail sale.

At the next service opportunity you are requested to check the suffix on the DTCM and release/replace the DTCM where applicable.

OK mine falls in to that, it has always amused me that the actuator makes more noise than the audible warning that it is working.
What are they actually going to do? letters not necessarily in the right order

Replace the Deployable Towbar Control Module (DTCM) and calibrate it, according to the recall.
