Safely Collected

Well, that seemed like a very long night waiting in anticipation of collecting my very first FFRR today.

Very interesting handover, so many functions and facilities. Will take ages to get my head round it all, and in fairness probably won't use at least half of the adjustable settings once I've got preferences sorted. But that's not the point of these toys and gadgets, is it Laughing

I know it's very early days, but I'm highly impressed so far - importantly so is Swmbo whose actually driven it longer today than I have!

I can't believe how smooth the roads feel, or how such a big car can corner so flatly and undramatically. Think cruise control will come in handy too as there's almost no perception of speed and all too easy to end up going much quicker than you think you are - even with heads up display Whistle

Anyhow, now to start RTFM, but some pictures from today's outing

Thanks guys!

First long trip to Scotland Thursday, will be interesting to see how different it is to the Defender I've run for the past 3 years (and also regularly done this trip in).

Shocked Defender to FFRR - you'll hardly notice the difference Whistle

I love the SDV8 engine and regularly do long trips in mine - it munches the miles like nothing else and is a lovely place to be. I did 5 hours non-stop Bordeaux to Andorra on Thursday night and back again on Saturday - there's not many places I'd sit still for 5 hours.....

I do Peterborough to Bordeaux or the Alps every few months and that's 750 miles in 12 or so hours so I'm fairly used to it - and there's nothing I'd rather do it in Thumbs Up
