Well there's at least 2 on here that have been rejected by their owners and returned - I guess some may still not have had the problems resolved...... and a 5 month old used MY17 would have me assuming it's one of the rejected bunch....... |

There are a lot of used cars available now so a large choice even for MY17 cars. Also, the dealers discounts, finance deposit contributions will lower the list price dramatically so £87k seems a low price but my car's list price was around £110k but I bought it for £95k so if its worth say £80k after a year then that's not serious depreciation taking into account the typical new car first year depreciation curve is always going to be steep. The prices will continue to soften until something new and sparkly comes along and these new models will hold their value better for sometime but again will start to

Right as Andy says there where big discount around on these so £87k is probably only around £5k less give and take of what a new one could have been bought for with a good deal.

If that was correct you'd be getting a three year old 3.0SE with thirty odd thousand miles for £32,000 and that's not happening. I'd suggest the three year mark is that these cars seem to hang on to 60% not 40%

Purchase price £100,000 after 3 years price would be £51,000 on those depreciation figures. |

The percentages come off the reducing balance. Even so no sane person would consider such costs. letters not necessarily in the right order |

Sounds about right. I paid 80k for mine. Trading it in when it's 3 years old (next March), and expect to get just over 40k, so 50% ish. |

50% after 3 years is about right. On a £100k AB I'm expecting something like Y1 £20k, Y2 £15k and Y3 £15k, total £50k ish depreciation. Y3 starts in Sept. MY23 D350 HSE

From experience, the last MY before a facelift always takes the quickest hit. |
