From what I can find out the Dealer uses a Bosch Originav 160 system to interface a laptop to the HDD Sat Nav via a firewire type connector. The connector lead can be bought separately but costs approx. $300. The complete system is very expense.

This has been on the back burner for me, but the maps are not special in my opinion, in fact they haven't changed as far as I can see from when I had my TD6! You can buy a hard drive with FireWire lead, so I can't see why this can't be done! I just wish I had a spare screen to try it on first. Is the Bosch interface part totally necessary? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Baltic Blue

I don't get to drive around London very often, thank God, but three times this afternoon the sat nav was wrong, showing roundabouts where the road had changed and to turn right at the non existent roundabout I was suppose to filter off left then use an underpass road to get right....nightmare. I think I will buy a Garmin for £120 next time. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

I'd be up for that! Even though it is expensive, I would still buy one myself if it meant I could update the sat nav maps because for me, the whole point of having a single in-built system is so the cabin isn't cluttered .......

I was wondering if any of the car audio guys had successfully installed an aftermarket all-in-one system that would integrate.

It would nice to put two fingers up to LR and I'm still contemplating seeking legal advice on this......I'm not a litigious person but they really have got my back up with this.
