Battery Going Flat

Hi All,

Have had my TDV8 2011 for around 6 weeks now, and all was going well. Now the battery dies constantly, needing either jump started or from a booster pack. I have charged the car on a trickle for 12 hours, and it lasted three days! Slightly annoyed now...

Any ideas for the fix? I assume its either a drain or a new battery required, but any insight would be great as Im rather the novice...

Cheers! ------------------------------------------------------

Given your cars age....it's due a battery change anyway.

New battery. I was doing the same on mine whilst it was off the road for repairs.the car doesn't like constantly getting jumped..my air suspension ecu died and I'm certain it was due to this.

Thanks all.. figured that could be the reason, just typical it'd die not long after being purchased... Censored ------------------------------------------------------

My last AGM battery lasted just 2 years before exhibiting the same symptoms. Battery voltage down to 11v or less after a few days non driving, and an occasional failure to start.
Fitted a new one and haven't yet returned the old one to Halfrauds under warranty, but I bet they will say there is nothing wrong with it! 2011 Vogue TDV8 4.4

Most places that sell batteries can test them.

I usually use Euro Car Parts but Halfords and independent motor factors can also do it Thumbs Up
