Vehicle raising slowly MY07 S/C | |
Evening chaps, first time today my old girl has given any bother. I've done a bit of research and its pointing towards a weak compressor however I'll just explain today's events.
We drove to a classic car show 15 miles or so up the road, car behaving perfectly. The field was a touch rough and I put it in off road height (probably not needed but why not...) to park. Soon parked I sent it straight down to access height get my little boy out.
After returning to the car 4 hours later or so I started her up and put it straight back into off road height to get back out of the field and it seemed to take a long while to raise up, so long in fact the vehicle reported "Vehicle raising slowly" once. It did make it and drove home absolutely fine. Once we had got home and parked on the drive I tested it again and it went straight up and back down again with no problem, delay or messages like it always has done.
Now the field did have some quite bad ruts etc, did this confuse it? Or had I caught it off guard and used the contents of the tank changing height in the field? Is this something I need to investigate further or just put it down to one of those things and see if it happens again? Can an MY07 compressor be rebuilt or does it have to be replaced? 2005 E60 M5
