Sounds like classic lower arms. What suspension work was done? 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted |

She had two new rear dampers and a ball joint. They said they could find nothing loose or amiss other than that..and to be fair, neither could the MOT guy! |

I had the same 'clunk' on mine. Diagnosed as a front drop link. Had both replaced and she's now as quiet as a 3.6V8 diesel mouse could ever be |

Got to admit that it sounds / feels like the issue is at the rear..but I have been wrong about such things before! |

I have had this, "clunk when braking" twice on my car now, both times it has been the lower rear hub bushes.

Are the caliper bolts done up correctly. If it's clunking when braking, notably when changing direction it could be that. Ed |

Well the noise has disapoeared again niw the weather has dried up! Will try spraying the bushes and see if that makes a difference. Calipers were all checked by the garage.

I had the same noise on mine for 6 months, it was the lower arm at the front, but the one towards the rear.
