I've just done my gearbox and had similar issues..ended up taking it for a 10 minute drive and the heat definetly made a diffrence as they cracked open in an instant.. |

Be careful using a drill you dont want to do any damage and not be able to get them back in again! A short drive just to warm the tc up should help i would say. When i did mine i drive it about a mile and then got my stuff ready and when i came to undo the fill plug it came out nice and easy and the oil was luke warm when it ran out. When refitting use some ptfe tape to aid the seal and removing next time. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue |
