Next week April 24-28th is the last week I can do keys for a while as I am away getting married and on my honeymoon.

I will be back in the UK in the final week of May.

Hi Adam

Sorted the issue out, I was fixing a blown fuse for the cigarette lighter, which sits in the rear compartment, I xchanged the fuse and sorted that, when looking at the fuse diagram I noticed one for remote central locking, it had blown changed it then did the key synch, and presto hey I now have central locking

Just one last thing though, the key does not manually unliock the car which may be a problem if the CL on the remote fails.
Does the key need a little fettling?

As with any newly cut key (car, house etc) it will need bedding in a bit. Sometimes a dab of WD40 in the lock will help it.

A freshly cut key in a tired and worn lock don't always marry up straight away.

I am no longer doing these types of keys as they are far too problematic.

The internal button design is rubbish and so prone to failing and they seem to lose sync every time they are worked on. Discovery 4 HSE
