Switzerland 2005 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
Is this the start of something bad?

I got into my car on Tuesday, turned the key & started the engine..... it was hot so I went to open the window but none of the buttons worked, as I was mulling this over all of a sudden the dashboard alarmed, said something about oil pressure & instructed me to shut it down immediately!
Nothing like this has ever happened before, I don't have a problem with the windows usually.
Obviously I turned it off, sat there for a few minutes thinking Censored how much is this going to cost me!
Eventually I felt brave enough to restart it and it's been perfectly fine! Censored Range Rovers! Current - RRV Autobiography 4.4V8 2005

Modifications - 20" Westminster Alloys with Grabber AT's. BRC LPG Conversion.

Previous- RRC 3.9V8/91. RRC 4.2V8/94 LSE Softdash. RRC 2.5tdi/94. RRC 2.5tdi/91. RR p38 2.5DHSE/01, Disco2 2.5td5/03, Disco4 2.7tdv6/10 ..... all gone.

I'm no real expert but strange gremlins like this nearly always point to something wrong on the battery front.

I'll leave others to fill in any blanks.

Good luck. Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

As above battery battery battery....
Probably still on the original battery and it's not quite as strong as it once was.
Get it checked out... it will cost nothing for a quick test at a half decent auto electricians... Current: Supercharged 06 FFRR in Java Black

I had a similar gremlin last Saturday, got into the FF to go to town and when I started the engine I got EAS Inactive, ABS and Handbrake light warnings and ESP warning on dash. The faults read off IID tool were ABS Ecu temporarily disabled and Air Suspension Inactive, but couldn't clear the faults. I decided to set off to see what would happen and within a few seconds the lights went off and everything was fine. After driving for a while, with a few stops inbetween, I started the FF again and got the Stop! Low Oil Pressure warning come up. Switched off and restarted the FF and all was fine. No faults shown on the IID Tool, so I guess it was just a gremlin caused by the high temperatures we've got at the moment.
FF has been fine ever since.
