rear seats removed now need to make folding board flooring

I've removed the rear seats and plan to make a board like in original post.

What type of board and how best to go about it?

It looks like 9-ply plywood. Maybe with a film coating, e.g., form board for concreting - what we call formply. Ron B. VK2OTC

Drilling the spare wheel pan seems to be the obvious CO2 solution. Its the lowest point and can easily be fitted with plugs if required. (just remember to take them out before the trip!)

I'm not much of a DIYer, so can you advise me, step by step, how I go about making the folding floorboard, using 9-ply plywood, as in the original post?

I've slept in the RR a couple of times, but the CO / CO2 aspect has come across my mind when doing it. I reckon that if you were sleeping in it a lot, then i would be looking at some sort of ducted vent setup. I think I would use some PC case fans and a couple of ducts to draw air from the rear foot well area and boot area and vent them out either through the rear wing corners ( below the fuse box / DVD areas ) or through the spare wheel area.

PC fans are 12V and run quietly and wouldn't kill the battery. A bit of a bodge, but hey, might be worth it. V8 or else ...
