Thanks Eddie !!

Hello all,

This happened last month - nice steady drive and BANG! With a bit of careful viewing it looks like Eddie hits a branch / stick or it drops off the back of the trailer...

Any way new screen and a bit of faff from National windscreens and we are all back in order for £65. Tried contacting Stobart's ins comp but not interested as they claimed it was 'road debris'

Must say it was the biggest bang you can imagine - it actually took a layer of the glass off!!

Anyway all sorted and thank goodness for windscreen cover on the ins. Thumbs Up

Cheers
Simon

I'm pleased no one was injured but it's probably just one of those things. Thumbs Up

RJH - absolutely defo better than the bonnet or roof!!

Looking at it on a freeze frame just before impact it looks like a small stick/branch about 3 cm by 15 cm that hits the screen like a javelin !! It made such a bang I though what ever I'd hit was going to be in the seat next to me lol. You can see the speed drop off after impact whilst I am waiting for my heart rate to stabilise...

I've had stone chips before but the noise this was unbelievable !!

Cheers

Simon

Watched a couple of times - looks like it came from the roadside after Eddie.

Watch it fly in the lorry's gone past already. And with such force doesn't look like suction from the back of the lorry either.

Weird...

. Cheers, Greg

Looks like the end of an orange ratchet strap / curtain hold down hook to me?

Got a screen shot of the impact - just an innocent stick but hits straight on . (pic is just after the impact ) Interestingly now that I have been going over it frame by frame you actually see the screen /pic distort as the window flexes!!

Also noticed that Eddie's wagon is a bio mass trailer -.... full of wood?

Oh yes and to rub salt in the wound the next day I was going into Inverness and ended up following the same dam lorry!! not for long though pulled over and waited 10 mins lol!!

Reckon if you go a frame before that, its an orange stick with a zinc passivated hook on the end!
