HDC off and air suspension inactive and abs light on.

So heading for the MOT I decided to treat the car to a new set of rubber and a 4 wheel alignment, sailed through the MOT 1 week later dash lights up like a Christmas tree.
HDC and air suspension in active and ABS light on.

This has happened before usually when battery has run flat, lock to lock with the steering wheel usually sorts it, but not this time.

car is level, I can sometimes hear the compressor working but I cannot change the ride height.

I checked the battery voltage it was 12.5v a little low so charged the car for a few hours and nothing didn't make any difference.

I have checked anything obvious ie looked at the ride heights sensors nothing much to see, I have been looking into resetting fault codes.

I have been trying to access the hidden menu to reset all fault codes.

I have done the adding up the last 5 digits of the Vin and I think I have unlocked the menu as I can do the test nr02 which makes all the instruments work, but when I try to get to test 21 to reset the codes it just goes back to "lockOn"

In the video I have watched he can go through all 21 tests with ease but anything other than test 02 it just goes back to lock.

I haven't got a GAP IID so that may be my next move but I wanted to reset the fault codes to see if it was just an old code upsetting the air suspension.

Any help always welcome.

Any one of the sensors in the Canbus can trigger all these lights, even tho it may only be one sensor at fault.

When I had this situation, despite the local LR stealer ((literally in this case!) saying I needed a new ABS unit at £1,000, I took the ABS connection out in the engine bay and there was a slight bit of corrosion on one of the electrical prongs. Small toothbrush and a bit of electrical contact Spray and all was good for another 35,000 miles.

(The reason it gets corrosion inside is the connector is upside down and acts as a water trap. Great design 🐵🙈😡😱)

Try this first.......... Thumbs Up

Turns out it was a "camber sensor" stuck or been nudged, happens when you have all 4 wheels off the ground and turn the steering to its lock.

Now I wasn't getting air off the hump back bridges, but it happened when I had a 4 wheel alignment hence why it happened after the new set of tyres.

MY guy did something reset the fault codes and now its gone away, didn't even charge me as he was servicing the car as well.

Thanks for your inputs.

Glad it's resolved.... although how by the mechanic is unclear....

Just want to add how I just resolved HDC inactive/air suspension inactive

My symptoms were a bit different I had fitted a new tv tuner unplugged a few components near tv tuner linked to the cruise control probably...

I didn't do this without disabling battery oppps

Anyway air suspension inactive is the easy one, start engine do full wheel lock in each direction, fault goes.

HDC inactive took a little longer (abs light on and steering wheel controls apart horn were disabled)
Computer reported cruise control switch plausabilty fault

Resolved by:
Removed fuse 9 (brake lights, hdc, cruise control computer etc)
Started car
Went for 20 min drive without fuse
Stopped car
Replaced fuse
Started car

All HDC inactive /disabled - abs and brake light permanently on lights /warnings then cleared by themselves without help from the computer
