Cooper Zeon LTZ - 274/45r20 - Anyone running them? (see pic)

Hi guys,

Looking to change the tyres we've got on the RR. I need something with a bit more aggressive treat due to where we live.

We have a VW Tiguan with Inda Turbo Rangers that are great, a Suzuki SJ410 with some extreme off road tyres, and the RR with some road tyres that gets stuck in a wet grass field...

These are the tyres we're hoping to put on it, the pattern is much more aggressive and looks like it'll cope better with the country roads around here.

Has anyone run these and has any comments?

Many thanks

So are you running the 275/45r20 size?

What's the noise like?
How many miles have you done and what's the wear like?
What are they like for picking up stones?(and consequently throwing them)
What's the balancing like? Did you have to have lots of lead stuck to your alloys?

Thanks in advance

Yes
Background roar , not much
About 40,000 km not much wear to report at all ( roads are bone dry here so much less wear than the UK)
They seem to throw the stones off straight away
No problems at all.

(the General Grabber is probably the better tyre, I ran them on my TD6 back in Scotland but the Zeons look good Thumbs Up ) 2008 MY Supercharged
Rimini Red / Jet
four zone climate
remote park heater
and no ugly kid windows.

Hi.

I had an unfortunate experience with Cooper Zeons on my TDV8. Tyre size was 275 45 R20. I got 36000 kms before one of the tyres' casings started to split. I took it back to the supplier who agreed it was serious. They agreed to give me a pro rata allowance on one tyre to buy a new set of Cooper branded tyres only. I declined. I regularly have the tyres rotated and balanced including wheel alignment checked. The wear was irregular across each of the tyres and yet the Amp branded tyres I am using now have shown no signs of irregular wear.

Cheers
Steve
