Electrics faults?

Crying or Very sad Multiple sudden problems.Lighs on stereo flash,cd cartridge seems to keep cycling as does amp in rear, interior temp sensor fan just runs and runs, can't turn ign key.Tried all the you tube fixes, fitted new battery.Unplugged the sensor fan now main fan comes on when I turn on the lights.could all this be linked or any I unlucky enough to have all these faults at once.If not is there any way to definitively test if it's the steering column ecu or the ign switch, remote opens doors and works alarm fine.

Have you checked for any moisture to the electric components? I have had gremlins recently but they were fine after a day so been lucky..

I seriously suspect a bad connection somewhere..

Check for water ingress in rear quarter panels (where the amps and fuse boxes are located in the back of the car left and right sides). This is a common problem on these cars.

Also follow the battery disconnection procedure ( on the WIKI), wait for about 20 minutes with BOTH battery terminals disconnected, then short the positive and negative terminals (on the car, Not the battery !!!) together and re-connect the battery.

Also, if you have the main fan running when it shouldn't, you could have a knackered Final Stage Resistor (FSR), do a search on here and you will find instructions on where to find it - try disconnecting it and see if that makes a difference. 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

Ign problem

All other problems on post aside the main one is.Came home turned off as normal no previous problems.Went to start next morning key would not turn no motor swish steering locked.Remote opened doors ok.Tried all the options fuses in and out,new battery leaving disconnected, touching cables together even pulling plug on ecu on steering column. Before I start spending on trial and error to eliminate is there any way of telling if it is definitely the column.Any help much appreciated.Other than this a lovely 2007 key in dash touchscreen TDV8 Vogue.

Given that it's a 2007 I would get your alternator checked.
