Hi all, first post in a while, my 4.4 tdv8 has been faultless since we bought it almost a year ago. Anyway my wife was on the way back from Devon yesterday and when turning at the lights the steering when very stiff and caught her unaware, lucky nothing was coming, she ended up on the pavement on the wrong side of the road. All dash warning lights on and limited power. Called AA and turns out to be auxiliary belt snapped. The AA man said it could not be fixed on the side of the road so needed to Ben towed. Is this right or does it need to be carried out at a garage ?

By the sounds of it, it's not a roadside 5 minute job.
Would also depend on how far you are from home, or a reputable garage.

Hope they put the FF on a lowloader, not towed it. Hope it's fixed now though.

It's being fitted in the morning.

Probably that he didn't have a belt of the right size, otherwise in my experience they usually do their best to fix problems.
