11MY - Remote Dead, New Battery Not Working - Unlocking?

I'm away from the car, but it seems that one key may have been locked inside (or lost), and the spare will not open the doors - new battery fitted to the spare remote, but still no response.

Will opening the door with the key blade set the alarm off, and, if so, can you stop it without a functioning remote?

Should be just put the key in the ignition and turn on? .
