Most (all) of the LR colours are named after places, e.g., Cobar Blue (Cobar is Oz), Adriatic Blue, Arctic White, Beluga Black (Beluga is in Alaska), Epsom Green, Westminster Grey, etc.

Yep, I reckon you're right there. If you look at the pics on the site the rock has the same sort of colouring, the grey has a very slight tint to it, not a stark grey. Same with the motors, Bonatti is a milder grey than others, it has a hue to it. |

Most LR colours are easy to identify but some not so.

I always thought Chawton was in the UK. It's a Pommie sounding name.

Auckland blue. I know where Auckland is (NZ), but not why the colour is a purplish grey (with a black undercoat?). 2006 MY FFRR 4.2 S/C autobiography (Auckland Blue - 901)

Colour of the rock there maybe ? Bonatti grey seems to be the same shade of grey as the mountains. |

here you go, Moss Wood in wales. A privately owned wood so could be known to JLR as either an employee owns it or an acquaintance.

Apparently Giverny is a small village on the outskirts of Paris where Claude-Monet did a bit of painting and decorating. |
