We are driving down to "the smoke" tomorrow for three nights and don't plan to use the car between 07:00 and 18:00 each day until Wednesday when we leave London around mid-day. We will go for a drive one evening around 9pm.

Only Wednesday if I've read it right. That is for a small central London area.

I need to go into the centre as we need to unload a ful car, kitchen sink etc. Regarding the first answer and LEZ I don't know what that is but my question could be simplified to: "What charges will I incurr by travelling into central London on Sunday and leaving on Wednesday and not using the car between those dates apart from in the evening.?" |

LEZ London Emissions Zone - mostly aimed at Diesel vehicles - check your reg on the link, payable daily once you have entered London even if you do not move! |

I live inside the CC zone. You're good after 6pm. You can also park free on single lines after 6:30 most places If your put your car inside the zone after 6pm then don't move it you don't have to pay.

Or if you can, park in the very under-used (and not too badly priced for London) Euston car park and avoid the costs altogeher.

I noticed that one is labelled just park. www.justpark.com is pretty good and the website shows you can do way better than £24/day and also parkopedia.com Near Russell Square there is RCD - VERY good prices http://www.rcpparking.com/car_parks/park/7...Bernard+St

Just a mention to be careful when looking at using a car park, some of them have height restrictions which might not accommodate an FF. John

Hmm. Interesting choice of car. I would have thought you could pack more in an FFRR than a Galaxie, but it's great to hear your keeping the classics going.
