Scotland 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Looks as if it may well be written off. Censored

Woman coming in the opposite direction turned left in front of me (French road) trying to get into her driveway. Lot of damage to both cars but, fortunately, no injuries.

Photo doesn't really show it. After the collision I ran along the side of a wall. That won't polish out!

Got a dash cam video but it is a bit long to post and I cannot get it shortened.

Gutted for my pride and joy. Back to the D2! John

glad you are OK, but that will not buff out!

Im assuming it will go down as her fault, in which case you could push for it to be repaired whether or not it would be a write off (I think) There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I believe you can to a certain extent, so long as they don't refuse on safety grounds (which they probably will). You can however push the claim to the costs of finding an identical one, same colour, same miles, same trim etc. They will, if pushed cover all traveling costs involved in finding a suitable replacement. The ideal way is to hold off on payment until you have found a replacement then hit them with all receipts for fuel and other costs.

I didn't realise this about holding off payment so took an approximate costs payment when someone wrote off my mint D1. I did come out OK though.

Don't forget that this would be under French law, which is unlikely to be the same Whistle

Luckily no injuries & everyone has walked away.

Have the wheels / tyres suspension been damaged?, as it appears to be just the bolt on panels.

Unsure of the French Insurance system on you retaining the salvage.
Possibility of obtaining second hand parts & rebuilding if you're desperate to retain.

I'm not clear about the running gear and suspension. The ditch that it is straddling in the photo is over a metre deep and there was some difficulty in dragging it out.

Will see what transpires. Confused John

Hopefully no underside damage and just panel/lights damage and her insurance company repair the damage instead of a total loss Vogue SE 2011 MY 4.4TDV8 in Fuji White
