Fuel gauge not reading correctly

Hi

My fuel gauge is not reading correctly. If I fill the tank right up it only goes just passed 3/4's on the gauge and when I turn the car off the needle sits on the side of the gauge. Do you think this could be a problem with the gauge needle rather than tank level senders? I did the self test and took these screenshots from the video I took:

There's a few posts on this issue. It's probably the in tank wiring issue that seems to occur with age. ______________________________

I had a very similar problem with mine after a fuel pump replacement.

Whilst fitting the pump the float came loose from the pump body and ended up floating in the tank,
With a full tank the gauge on the dash read just over 3/4 and that's because there's a float on the left hand side of the tank that was feeding the gauge while the pump float was broken.
