Interior lights not working

After a problem yesterday with the battery being fully discharged (now fixed) the interior lights wont come on. The front one wont work at all and the rear passenger one only works manually. The footwell and puddle lights are not working either. I dont know if it is related, but I cant get the remote or central locking working. I have tried the battery re-set, any ideas? QUID FACIUM TIBI

Could have gone into Transport Mode.
An IID tool will sort that out.

I have a similar problem.

I went camping recently so I turned off the interior lights so that they wouldn't keep coming on when a door was opened and drain the battery.

Anyway, the battery did go flat (from the fridge). After recharging, the keyfob remote wouldn't work.

I've tried multiple times to re-synch it but to no avail. Oddly, the seat repositions itself occasionally when the buttons are pressed.

Now, I notice that the map light, puddle lights, footwell and other interior lights don't come on. Pressing the map light switch to re-activate the interior lighting doesn't work.

The glovebox and map lights work.

Last week, when fiddling with everything, I did get a vehicle is in Transport Mode message.

Tonight I wondered if all were related so I put the GAP IID Tool onto the beast and checked but it's not in Transport Mode. I tried going in and out of that a couple of times. The lights and remote still don't work.

I'm not sure where to look next. Ron B. VK2OTC

Yes. I've used that a number of times in the past when camping. This time it just won't come back on.

When I read about the transport mode issue above, I hoped that might be it but it doesn't appear to be.

Time to get Faultmate out. I haven't found anything with the GAP IID Tool nor Autologic. I haven't tried my T4 yet.

Hopefully, it will be a bit cooler today when working on it (37 deg C yesterday). Sad Ron B. VK2OTC

Fixed - both the interior lights and the keyfobs not synching.

The car was in Transport Mode. I had checked that with the GAP IID Tool - trying setting it to and removing it from Transport Mode (TM) but to no avail.

I put my Rovacom Faultmate on it and found it had a TM fault registered. It wouldn't clear so I did a bit more looking and found I had to take it out of TM then clear the faults.

Once I had done that, the interior lights worked again.

So I thought I'd try re-synching the keyfobs. Voila! It worked. It's good to have remote locking back again. Very Happy

Thanks for the suggestion to look at Transport Mode.

While the Faultmate is connected I might as well run through all the ECUs and check for logged faults (and clear them). Ron B. VK2OTC
