22" wheels

I have a set of these from Dan they look great but I can't seem to get a very comfortable or quiet ride - they may have to go - I can put the old ones back on. But first I thought I might ask what tyre pressures people run, my car being an L322 doesn't have any recommendations for 22" wheels.

had the same question re my L405 21''...i ran them at 30/34 but they looked flat so went up to 32/35 and they run well on that..
the L405 manual says 33/36 for both 21 and 22 i believe.. ... - .- -.

Not sure you'll find your utopia on 22's. The ride gets progressively worse the bigger you go, I have 21's with summer tyres and 20's for the winter..less bumps in the winter but more road noise due to the tread pattern.

Thanks guys for the info, I'll try at various pressures to optimise the comfort/noise level. Geoff

Does a big difference appear between the 405 & 322 on 22"s, as before buying my L405 AB, the test drives were on 21"s, but i chose 22"s purely for the look & i find them very forgiving & indifferent to the 21"s i test drove with. Paul

Yes it does

The L322 was designed for 18-20's

The L405 was designed for 20-22's

So the suspension on the L405 is tuned to give a decent, albeit firmer ride on 22's - whereas on an L322 the ride is very firm.

I've run an L322 on 20's & 22's as well as an L405 on 20's 21's & 22's

I didn't much like the L322 on 22's and went back to 20's, but am very happy with the L405 on 22's

Mine rides just about the same on 22's as it does stock 18's (shrug)...maybe I'm just used to it but I do swap them out with the change in seasons. I also run 285/40/22....largest sidewall you can run without rubbing 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

L405 options down from 22"

Sorry ot drag this thread up from the dead....

My SDV8 2014 ATB has 22's with the Contis fitted. These are not what I'd cal an off road tyre and though the FFRR is equipped with clever electronics they cannot defeat physics... So I want to fit an All Terrain ir Mud Terrain tyre on another set of rims. Question is, "What size rim and tyre combination gives the best choice of AT and MT tyres, AND will fit the L405?". 2014 SDV8 L405 Autobiography. Luxor with ivory. 22's...

Mine runs nicer on 21's than it did on 20's and looks so much better. I had a mates when mine was in for service and it had 22's....so hard and rough. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I found the 21 inch on my former L322 a bit harsh. I think 20 inch is the way to go Thumbs Up All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

To originalracingsnake: I'd go for style 502 20" wheels and Goodyear Duratrac 255/55R20 tyres. Only Range Rovers since 1988
