Heh ... no smartphone can do this sort of thing, one thing they don't have the focal length or DOF and the other is ... they do not have the ability to autofocus on something moving so fast Smile Land Rover Addict

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Amazing pictures Surprised

Tempted to change your A99 for a new Alpha 9 ? The burst rate on that is insane from reading the specs and reviews - 20fps.

Also no mirror so completely silent for wildlife shots.

If I didn't have Canon lenses I'd be very tempted. 2008 TDV8

Is that at the "Mach loop"? I really want to go there sometime.
Cracking pics Thumbs Up

^ I'm tempted by the A9 even though I have A bag full of Nikon glass. Easy to buy a Metabones converter to use Canon on the Sony E-mount. Shame the can't be said for Nikon. Big Cry Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Mine is an SLT ... so it's the bit in between (no mirror slap as it doesn't lift). I don't need burst rate as I track and shoot when I know I have proper lock (if i needed to the 8-10fps is fine but what actually happens tracking high speed is you get body, then tail, then hill or sky...)

I reckon I have at least 2-3 years to go with this body (also have an A65v as an APS-C second camera for further reach if I need it) - I have a silly number of alpha lenses Very Happy

Also I don't think the increased resolution is helpful, I pixel peep and at 12MP (my first Sony all was crisp), at 24.3MP it can be a bit disheartening seeing the slight movement, at 42MP I reckon I'd be dead annoyed. For planes you shoot with no IBIS ..... Land Rover Addict
