Gearbox leak.....specialist needed in London

hi all......the fatty has developed a leak somewhere from the transmission. The drips/staining on the driveway are light straw in colour. The gearbox sump pan and the steel tubing (brace?) below it are covered in oil. The car/gearbox runs fine with no dash warnings. As well as getting the leak fixed i think it would be a good time to get the gearbox oil+filter change done.

Can someone please recommend a specialist in the west london and surrounding area who is familiar with these gearboxes and doing the oil change with the correct fluid and protocals.

(im in the ealing/middlesex/heathrow area)

thanks

I can't help with a recommendation I'm afraid, but would advise against driving the car too much before it's sorted, my current car had a gearbox oil leak while under warranty and the LR response was to fit a new gearbox, even though it seemed to be running fine, with no noise or other symptoms. I had lost a surprising amount of oil in a short time, without too much being visible on the ground, the plastic tray under the front of the engine seems to retain some and some will be flung off as one drives along. Only Range Rovers since 1988

The only place I can recommend from personal experience is Hardy Engineering in Leatherhead.

They did the gearbox oil ad filter change recently on my SC and are a long-running family owned business with great old-school service.

I reckon they'll be a 40 minute drive from you. They're a few minutes drive from the M25. Si. <This is my name.
