Armrest removal- easy peasy!

Hi guys,

Did a bit of research on here as I have a badly worn passenger armrest. Got a new-old-stock armrest from eBay which arrives tomorrow so sussed it out when I got back from work a minute ago.

To remove the armrest is NOT a seat out job... There are 2 torx screw which can be accessed at the base of the front seats, from the back seats, by moving the magazine holder fabric to towards the middle of the seat. Whip these out and lift the rigid plastic back panel up and then towards you. The grub screw (torx) is seen from the back seats holding the armrest to the boss on the seat. If you power the seat forward on the motor to as close to the dash as possible there is just enough room to slide the armrest off!

I'm sure many of you know this, but having read many posts over the weekend saying seats need to be removed and seat bases have to come out, I hope this can help someone as I have had masses of invaluable help from the forum in the past!

All the best, Tim
