Stupid question, maybe?

Drained the coolant today on my 4.2 SC but only got approx 6 litres out as a-posed to the 12.5 the workshop manual suggests. As I had 20 litres on hand I drained again once hot (hoping the thermostat being open would do it) but still the same. Before I fill it again in the morning am I missing something?

The manual doesn't refer to a cylinder block drain on the SC nor can I find one I followed the manual and used the drain tap on the bottom of radiator.

Sorry if this has been covered before but after numerous searches I can't find anything specific on the SC coolant drain Big Cry

Ooo someone else from Chesterfield...... not an expert here... all I can think of is the heater matrix.... do you have to do anything to get the HEVAC unit to open up valves or anything? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Ha ha yeah I'm a "Town" lad (well, not so lad).

The only thing in the workshop manual is to set heater and blowers to high which is normal I believe on most cars. This I did but still not a lot of coolant. Sad

Worse case l'll repeat the process every month until I run out of coolant, at least then the old should be suitably diluted with new but not ideal Whistle
