Last check before I buy the Sharks fin. A search on here blames that for most problems. Just had it to bits. No obvious signs of water damage inside. No sign of corrossion where leads join in roof. Found the secret menu and checked satellites. Its finding them, its just not getting the info to the bit in the car that uses them. Disc is working ok as I put in an address and it mapped me a route from Belgium ( and yes, I have it set for the UK ! ). It simple wont find my current position which is usually quite quick at my address. No water ingress in left side of boot, dry as a bone in there. Last shout for something to try whilst I give it 5 mins with fuse 49 pulled....

a complete battery disconnection might help, if not then a can of lager sitting on the sun lounger in the back garden sounds like a good idea....  ... - .- -.

Longer... I wish. Just torn huse apart because I thought I had an old gps device ff an early Garmin I used to own. Thats it, from now on, I'm throwing nothing away !!

Just plugged
replacement gps device to system on trial basis but redline still through gps signal on screen ?

Had it plugged in wrong hole...Oooo mrsss . ! Have followed the instructions for the fix which I posted a link to earlier and it works !! Sat nav now up and running again for £8 .
