Don't think you get RSE any more on a 4.4 VSE. Pretty sure it's a rarely specced option. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

From the amount of them I've looked at I'd say you're correct. The 4.4 seemed to drop RSE as it's very rarely seen from what I can see.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little, but are the 4.4 TDV8's notably more reliable than the 3.6s? I've read that they don't have the EGR issues, and are possibly a bit more fuel efficient, but are there other downsides mechanically?

If I stretch the budget a bit (to about 20K) I could stretch to a 4.4, there's a few on the market around that price but are they likely to be snotters?

The 4.4s do seem to be more reliable but there are some minor non terminal issues which seem to happen. As for the 20k 4.4 cars you won't know unless you look at them. I would theink they will be high milers but that in itself isn't an ad thing. There are a few common issues such as the turbo oil feed which need checking to see if they have been done, and higher mile cars may need suspension bushes replacing soon.

The gearboxes don't have any reported major issues, fluid changes are a good idea though.

But they may be OK, read the buyers guide, gen up then go shopping. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I was looking earlier and found this one:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...amp;page=3

It doesn't list it as having LPG, but it looks like an LPG switch on the lower console in the pics... Right colour and not too far from you either..

I've somehow managed to pick up a 2010 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE today, I'm sure there will be a barrage of questions as I try and figure out all the gadgets on it!

Ahh - sorry - good luck with the search! Smile

No pic as yet - had literally just got back from picking it up late last night. It was a bit spur of the moment, I just hope that doesn't come back to bite me!

Vogue gets heated seats, but not cooling ones. Also, the leather is slightly different in the SE. And yes, SE should have the RSE. Although, I'm pretty sure that Vogue owners could specify individual upgrades.

Found this "Vogue SE extras are:

Full windsor perforated Leather seat heated and cooled front, heated rear
Ski bag
12c piece burr wood set
Bright sill plates
Rear Screen entertainment
Electrochromatic exterior mirrors
Bixenon adaptive headlights
TPMS
20" 7 spoke wheels

Interesting as my non SE Vogue has all of the above apart from RSE and two additional wood pieces in the back. 07 3.6 TDV8 Vogue

Is it better to get a supercharged and then get lpg fitted myself from a highly rated installer. Thats what im thinking. Who are the best installers, people who have done this successfully on the SC?

So might be buying private and then converting to LPG myself, just so that i can ensure its done by a competant installer.

What should i be looking out for and what are some of the most expensive things that could go wrong on the SC. I guess there will be less things compared to a TDV8?

Ok so apologies for not updating but after selling my BMW and running an old Golf for a while, i bought a 2013 Mercedes GL which was lovely, but then got bored of that and bought a 2013 C63 AMG, which is a beast and i love how it sounds, it’s almost hypnotic. But its not that practical as the rear legroom isnt great. My wife really wants me to get something bigger and more economical (i see average 12-15mpg) as it would be easier on longer trips with a child.

So now im thinking to sell the C63 and get a 2012 RR (Westminster/Autobiography) with around 60k or less mileage for £26k. I really want to get parked heating, but is the rear electric seats good or just a gimmick? Any other options i should look out for?

I’m not sure if i’ll get bored of the RR?
