If the DPF is the only issue he has with the car, or is the cause of all the problems than I don't really have much sympathy for him, just take it for a good bloody drive, or buy something else. |

I would have said the car owner has a point about the need to regularly regenerate the PDF by going for a run at 50mph.

All modern diesels with dpf systems have to go through a regeneration cycle to clear them out and that requires sufficiently high temperatures.
