As my Buddy down under says they are annoyingly one shot wonders... once the light comes on the only way to put it out is fit a new wear sensor, if it's the front pads I've got an unused sensor...I always kept a spare...and as I don't have an L322 anymore it's rather excess to requirements...p.m. me if your interested Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Surely Rangeyman is saying he didn't replace the sensor but found a way to reset the warning light anyway ?? |

Just to clarify am not sure why the red dash brake light came on I assumed it was a pad sensor but on inspection it wasn't. I replaced only the pads but the reset got rid of the red light. |

Either the wire loop in the pad sensor broke OR there is a bad connection in the plug for the sensor.... I wonder if you have turned the system off completely? Think I'd unplug a sensor to check that the pesky light comes back on. The system is normally in one of two states...on or off, there isn't a sleep mode that I'm aware of Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

As far as I know they are the same except length, have you checked the front sensors too? I had them all wear out at the same time

I'm having this same issue. Red Brake light and the check brake pads on the LCD diplay. I have since changed the front and rear pads...still had the errors. Replaced front brake pad sensor wih a new Duralast sensor from autozone...still have same errors. The key to ignition 10 times did't fix it. Also tried disconnecting battery for 30 mins...the light went away...then came back after a few mins. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

if the 'check brake pads' is coming up now and, before you changed the pads it wasnt, then you need to double check that you havent missed something ...i would even strip it all down and start again.. ... - .- -.

No the check brake pads came up first on the LCD...so I ordered new pads to change them. Before I got them and could put them on the red BRAKE came on. So the red "BRAKE" came on after the original "check brake pads"

On the early L322's the brake check sensor was a one time use only, once it illuminated the "check brake" lamp you had to replace it to get the light to go out.
