Good find.. would that be adequate for a power steering fluid drain? I'm needing to do mine and this would be handier than draining the system.. Thumbs Up

I've got a couple of these, use one as a diesel transfer pump, slow but does the job, another one was used for an oil change on a car with a stuck Sump plug, managed no problem with warm oil, so highly recommended

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Bournville

Picked up one of these on Thursday. Was thinking as I cut the grass this morning that I don't think I've ever changed the oil in the lawn mower. It's probably 15 years old and as far as I'm aware, doesn't have a drain plug.

Used the pump to change the oil. Worked a treat, was faster, easier and cleaner than I would have imagined. So then thought it was about time the RR was serviced, so used it on that too. With hot oil, it took about 15 min to pump out 9l of engine oil. Changed the filters, filled back up with oil and job done.

Very pleased that I picked this up. I can see why garages are increasingly using this method in preference to dropping the oil out of the drain plugs - quicker, cleaner, simpler. I do wonder whether this will lead to sludge building up in the sump ultimately, so perhaps it might be worth the occasional 'traditional' oil change, just to get rid of that. That said, recent oil changes don't appear to have much solid material in the waste oil at all. Quite different from mineral oils and ropey engines of old. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

Unnecessary quote removed

Called at fiddle on my way home... no pumps. These places really P me off as they only ever have a couple yet advertise them as if they had pallet loads.
