Mmmmmm nothing easy on them then🤔.Thanks for your help and excellent reply to my problem, much appreciated. What I have decided is this, I will take up the offer of replacing the drive from Lukie , then if at later date all goes pear shaped with it all, I will then get it ripped out and upgraded, I would also prefer to keep it all original for as long as possible too. Cheers.

No worries Bud...

Whistle Although " I would also prefer to keep it all original for as long as possible too"

Probably won't be that long... keep a very close eye on water getting in to the boot area.. that is the one thing that can kill the system quicker than anything..... That is also one of the advantages of the Android route everything is in the dashboard, and not hidden in a well.... I don't think Land Rover has read the definition of "well".... not a particularly clever place to store delicate electrical equipment, especially on a car that is alleged to be capable of crossing wide rivers.... unless a vast wide river is the puddle in the car park Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Update

Hi all. Just to update on this, all OK now , fitted and working fine, have also fitted some industrial oil/water soak up squares on top and behind all the electrical units and will periodically check for any water /moisture ingres, think this will work well ,just in case, have done a couple of pictures.
