Hazards not flashing when locking and unlocking l322

Its been like this since i got the car a few weeks ago. When i lock and unlock the car i get no hazard flash at all, a second press of the lock button does nothing so i cant even put it into deadlock. I sometimes need to go back and check to see if the car has actually locked or not. Had a search around and found nothing to help me... anyone any ideas?

Hi,

There's no need to press the lock button twice as superlocking and perimetric alarm is active with one press, the only reason to press it twice is to superlock all doors and activate the perimetric alarm, but NOT activate interior space protection and tilt sensor.

The previous owner may well have turned off the flashing indicator for some reason, it's easy enough to enable sound when locking etc with the IIDtool.

There are loads of threads on here about the IIDtool, they may be pricey but they save money even in the short term.

I had the lock / unlock without the hazards flashing, turned out the upper tailgate wasn't fully closed when I locked the car even though it looked fully closed. Opened the tailgate shut it purposefully and everything ok again. Worth a try. Thumbs Up

Saying that, how does your lower tailgate work?? I have to flip like a switch on each side for it to be able to close... and i though my upper tailgate wasnt closing properly. Have to check that out

My lower tailgate locks fine with the electric locking, you should't need to operate the lock catches by hand. One of my lower tailgate locks didn't work initially which I corrected by moving the body latching plate towards the rear of the car a small amount.

Sorry I have misled you. Embarassed
When you close the lower tailgate the latch at each end of the tailgate latches over the body locking pin.
You can simulate this with the lower tailgate in the open position by pressing a screwdriver shaft into each latch in the position the body locking pin normally goes on closing. There should be a pronounced click as the latch operates.
My latch didn't work correctly due to the body pin being too far forward such that the latch simply couldn't lock over it.
Unlocking is operated by the recessed button mounted on the top of the tailgate.
When you press the button you should definitely hear the two locks on the tailgate unlock.

Yes i can hear it unlock when i press the button but its closing it afterwards... i have to click back the notches on each side to be able to close it, it doesnt close electronically. The guy i got the range rover off told me this is how its meant to be done and showed me what to do, said he didnt know how to do it either when he got the car but i think he was playing dumb as i have found a lot of issues that he wouldnt of missed after a long period of time owning the car, one being the suspension (he told me he thought it went up and down on its own when you went onto the motorway and he didnt know you could control it via the dash control) i guess im more of a mug for falling for his sh** to start off with lol. If i get a break from my 11 month old tomorrow i will look at taking the mechanism apart and cleaning it up the best i can... see if that does the trick. Im hopibg this could be the reason my lights are not flashing

On my td6 I had one side that was sticky, I just loosened it with some WD40... that said, the electric bit was working.... you can hear it try when you press the recessed button.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Or deadlocking...

Required 2 presses on some models.
For example on mine. To deadlock it needs 2 locks.
