It all depends on need really. If you've over about 5' 10" then I would say don't bother. I have them and hate them but having a wife who is 5' 5" and a MIL who is 5' sod all, means they are required.

I have them and I love them as do the whole family. They are only a pain when washing the car if you have the key in your pocket as they keep popping in and out. |

I did consider them for a while but pulled them off my order due mainly to the additional weight as I got the parts fell to weigh them & iirc they were 80KG purely for the steps so with the motors etc. they'd did lot of weight.
