I have the app too and its very good when checking out cars mots, milage history etc, for ease of use and free as well which is good! I know most of it is also available elsewhere free and wont replace a full history check but a good staritng point. I have occasionally been curious whilst walking the dog and have checked the neighbours cars too!! Anyhthing to pass the time! |

You can also check if your insurance is still in date via MIB. It will not tell you your expiry though.

I downloaded that Vehicle App a few days ago, very useful for work. I was unable to find my motorbike on it, so contacted the developer who replied within an hour or so and fixed the issue. Top marks from me. |

The app is a great find and it turns lots of the data in to much more interesting information such as average miles pa and distance between MOTs.

Generally all these apps do with Northern Irish cars is show tax and MOT (that you can as mentioned do on the gov website) having said that it proved very useful recently when a friend was looking at a Jaguar being sold as mint and with a full service history etc and had been "looked over by a specialist" who also said it was perfect and must have been well looked after. Not according to that app as it showed over the last 10 MOT tests it passed only one of them first time, the rest were mixtures of fails and advisory notices, including one that said the car was in dangerous condition and was a hazard to other road users Maybe it found a nice happy owner who did spend money on it but armed with that info we did not bother going near it. |
