And by the time you've added the optional steering wheel, doors, seats and engine it'll come to 60k ![]() It's be more to the point if they would get new Defender launched. |

OK, saw this on the way home last night. Clearly the Velar and in terms of size it's pretty similar to the Jaguar F-Pace. I like the way the roof doesn't look like it's had a skip dropped on it as well. If the inside looks as nice I would suggest this might be a decent motor.

I know I know I'm the good news bear but I can't help but wonder how people actually 'afford' these cars:

I should really point out that I'm far from begrudging of the buyers. I was just sat in traffic today and noticed the amount of new cars vs older cars. Seems to have been an utter boom of new cars recently.

^ precisely. Nobody throws money into a depreciating asset, they mostly lease or PCP so they have known quantities to deal with. Also a lease is 100% attributable for tax whereas depreciating an asset over time requires shelling out the capital up front, i.e. lending the taxman money (in the eyes of an accountant.)

I've eaten humble pie. Colleagues in India sent me some pictures of it and I like it, they spied it in the LR dealership in Mumbai. A quick question to a salesman was answered with "we expect a waiting list after the dealer launch tomorrow evening" and in India they're really expensive with taxes added. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........ |

Assuming the wheels are the same it has the same wheelbase as the F-Pace, very slightly shorter front overhang, and a marginally longer rear overhang.

Well, I was thinking of a RRS this year, chopping in the much loved L322. But I'll hang on a while and get one of these instead! |

I'm not keen on anything that's come out of LR recently but I have to admit that this looks fantastic. I think this will be the next one for me! 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone

This is great news. All you 4.4 TDV8 boys now getting the pennies ready for a Velar...gives me a chance at a 4.4 |
