United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze
Newbie with a TD6 Vogue

Just joined!

Bought this Vogue last week and still on honeymoon with it. Already spent a small fortune making it my own..and got a list here of things I intend to do to make it perfect. This is a 3rd car, so just a toy really (for poor weather), however the 2nd car is a toy too (fair weather) lol..and she uses the 1st car daily, so this is for me to drive.

So far, in no particular order I have done in the last few days..

supercharged grille
later model chrome 3 slat side vents
new plates (not fitted yet)
side repeaters
cherry wood dash pack (it was grey)
cherry door handles
leather dye to touch up seats
driver seat bolster repair
new driver seat valance
centre caps
fuel(!)
tailgate strip chrome
boot load tray
track rod end x1
suspension arm x1
key ring
air freshner

..still to do!

suspension ball joint x1
retrim or new steering wheel
stainless wiper panel cover
rear lights (super charged or LED?)
cherry gear knob
cherry gear shifter surround
Maybe some other cherry bits but I won't go OTT.
Upgrade the antiquated radio/nav system (if possible, needs to looks similar)?

Anyway.. here she is!

Thanks mate.

It looked like this when I bought it last week..

Yes, that IS paint on the headlights Censored and the front grille has been drilled a million times... so you can see why I had to change it! Luckily I got the paint off ok using a razor blade.

..much better now..

I know I am being prejudiced, but there cant be many car designs out there that still look so damn good style-wise after 15 years plus. There are a few, but most will be in the 100k+ range. QUID FACIUM TIBI

Agreed.. probably why they didn't change the design much over 10 years. Even the older models still cut it today.

Was reading your thread on your new purchase.
I have also just bought a Td6 54 plate , not home yet but looking forward to sorting a few issues it has .
Was changing the grille expensive and are those led lights standard as mine doesn't have them, and will be trying to upgrade the sat nav /audio system. dIdnt realise it has to run a cd in order to work it. A bit like the Freelander 1 my partner has which has a small screen as in rad,io style and just pants. I understand the BMW X5 is an upgrade.
How are you finding the engine power is it good enough , I may re map mine .
Still not sunk in that I have one yet but hopefully home Friday.
Cheers Pat

Pat, On a 54 plate, if your VIN number is 5A********* then it is a 2005 Model Year. If so it will have the MOST system (touch screen) which is pretty much a non-starter for an upgrade.

On the other hand, if it has a 4A************ VIN number you could look at doing this: http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic29219.html

Septemberish 54 was the change over point.

In either case I would think you will find that it has a DVD navigation drive. The CD drive was on earlier L322s. I may be wrong on that.

TDSIX's is the earlier one so the link above may be of interest. John

Yes it's SALLMAMC34A17959
The Sat navy seems to work fine , got it home now , probably just needs a new disc to bring it up to date. It has also had a parrot system installed and not working So looks like I will have to remove dash bits , to investigate. It's been stuck to the left of the instrument panel and the wire disappears south so to speak , disappointed it was not included on the vogue
