Swap 2011 non dual view sat nav for dual view sat nav?

Hey everyone

I keep reading its possible to swap out the non dual view sat nav on a 2010-2012 (2011 in my case) for a dual view version, however I can't seem to find anyone who has done it, and if it was just a straight swap or if it needed modules swapping, extensive programming etc?

Have found a dual view screen to buy, however if it needs a lot more work than just a simple swap, doubt its worth it as I'll be driving anyway haha!

Apologies if this has been asked before, I did try to search!

its a waste of time unless your passenger will put up with signal loss when you drive around....

i have it and it looses signal when you change direction and when you're in a dip for instance..the small screen isnt much use and it baffles me when members spend £200 plus on a hybrid tuner when you cant really use the thing.. ... - .- -.

thanks Stan, seems it isn't really going to be worth it, even if it were possible

thats a few £ save towards running costs haha!

I agree - it's about as useful as the venture cam - kind of fun to show people, but of absolutely no real world use.

I disagree. It kept SWMBO and the kids very quiet on our trip to Bordeaux with all 3 screens playing. A series of films on DVD meant I had peace and quiet all the way.

As for the swap, the plugs are the same but it might need a change to the CCF. Ask the GAP guys.

Ah..... do you only get the video and audio in jacks with RSE as well then....? Though thinking about it, the jacks in the rear wouldn't be much use to allow rear seat passengers to watch stuff on the front screen.

I'll get my coat.... Laughing 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
