A long story, but spent 7 hours driving around yesterday and the RR was fautless, especially around Windsor until....

...it slid sideways on a cambered road into a fence at crawling speed. I should have driven down the centre of the road but was just a little too confident. Ice and 3 ton of car is not a good combination.

Although the car is fantastic, please respect the conditions and be safe. Current MY2020

Aye, a wee bit blowing off the trees up here as well.

I pity the wife, she is meant to run 13.1 miles tomorrow..I am sure it will have passed by then.

PS Not as bad (yet) as December 2010

2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Well I left the FFRR at home and went out in the Defender to get some snowy pictures in the local forest. Just as well because I found an elderly couple in their Seat Altea totally stuck about 500m from their remote cottage. The poor lady was an invalid and they were looking forward to a night in their car so close to home..................... Defender, MTR's, 6cm of snow, 30m of Dynema winch rope on the winch - NO problem. First get me the right side of the Seat to tow it up the hill which wasn't so easy and we ended up reversing both cars to a passing place on the single track road. I drove up the hill, turned round and drove back to where the Seat driver had driven back to as far as he could get, pay out 5m of winch rope, hook onto Seat, tell driver to put his car into neutral and I backed up in low box with Seat meekly following on the end of the winch rope until I got to their remote cottage. Good deed done for today!
The pics/vids were take on my iPhone , sorry for the poor quality

Here are some pics and video - note the wheel tracks you can see are mine and the Seat's as I took the pics on the way back home having called off the rest of the drive............. and the foot prints of a jogger who jooged passed us in driving snow and drift knee high. I believe you guys in the Sarf have been sunning yourselves on the beaches today in sub-tropical sunshine................

Looked even better before I cleaned all the snow off it to take it off the drive, 5" of snow on the roof, bonnet and heaped up between the winch and radiator. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Good pics Tim! Thumbs Up

Just a tad more snow overnight here. If it wasn't for the tyre tracks we would have lost our 15 week lab!

The half-marathon appears still to be on..... Exclamation
