"Fuel injection system" warning

Hi guys,

Driving into work this morning when the 322 lost power and then "fuel injection system" came up on the dash. I pulled over, switched the car off, then back on again, the power seemed back to normal however the warning is still on the dash, just wondering if anybody has any ideas as to what this could be? Its currently sitting at just under 1/4 tank of diesel, could it be possible ive pulled Censored thru the filter?

Thanks

Ricky

Yes, you could have pulled s Censored t through the filter.
Try some bg244 in the tank and fill up!.
These full fats don't like going below 1/4tank.
is it ok after you have swiched off and back on again?
Greg.

Had this happen a few year's back on my old TD6. Very often when the tank was below one third full it would flag injection warning and then the engine would die. Give the car a few mins and turn the ignition on without starting for a minute or 2 to allow it to prime the fuel pump a bit and it would always kick back into life. I would then fill it up ASAP and everything was ok until the fuel level in the tank dropped low again.

Turned out it was the in tank fuel pump not moving fuel from the passenger side saddle. Got a new in tank fuel pump fitted and it never played up again while I owned it no matter how low I got the tank.

PS when I looked in the tank with a torch while the fuel pump was being replaced, the tank was internally spotless.
