HDC Fault

Evening all, just sorted lots of issue s with my TD6 and wham another problem lol

I have a "HDC inactive" and "Air suspension inactive" fault on permanently. I have "SELECT NEUTRAL" on start up and "SLOW DOWN" when driving popping up on the instrument cluster.

I have read many posts on these and common issues. My battery is the correct rated Bosch battery only a few weeks old. Its now not draining any amps and this happens regardless of temperature. I have read the Tech Bulletin regarding the ABS ECU and doesnt seem to be related as doesnt go away.

Hill decent works fine and the logo comes on. Air suspension works fine although a little slow. Low range DOES NOT work but did and uses this regularly and keep getting the above messages... ALSO no faults in ABS/EAS/Trans using All comms

Any thoughts peeps ??

England

1. Check you haven't got the "towing" fuse in place (37)
2. Tell us a bit more about "won't go into low range" what exactly happens when you try? And when you flick back to high range?
3. Are you getting any ABS fault codes?

Put your battery on trickle charge to bring it bang up to charge. Does HDC INACTIVE still fire off?

What tends to happen is something in the ECU chain is wrong, and causes all the others to fire, some for "safety reasons".

May also be worth a full battery disconnection procedure to see what is there when you reconnect, and also do a full report on your faults (and then clear them) with the All Comms .

NICE one mate !!!! Something so simple (if you know)

I had recently been tracking a drain down and had put a 5amp fuse in 37 thinking there had been one in there !! what does that do by the way??

Now to sort my headlight wiper stuck problem (disconnected fuse28) and should be all clear for a few weeks !! haha

thank you again

It's the transfer box ecu fuse, only meant to be fitted when towing.. is it still there?
